With over 30 years of experience in the interior design industry, Nicky Uren has built a reputation as one of Australia’s most trusted and experienced residential and commercial designers.
Nicky founded Design NU with a simple belief: that a well-designed home changes the way you live. It’s not about trends or showroom perfection — it’s about creating spaces that reflect the people who inhabit them. Spaces that are beautiful, yes, but also warm, inviting, and functional.
Over the course of her career, Nicky has worked across an extraordinary range of projects from beachside holiday retreats + luxury coastal homes + inner-city renovations + new residential builds + hotels + golf clubs + restaurants + bars, and has designed numerous other multi-residential spaces. Her deep knowledge of materials, spatial planning, and product sourcing means she brings both creative vision and practical rigour to every project she takes on.
Based on teh Gold Coast, Queensland and working with clients Australia – wide and internationally, Nicky offers a rare combination: the polished eye of a luxury designer, and the warmth and accessibility of someone who genuinely loves what she does.
